Hangar Services brightwork procedure consists of machine polishing on all bare aluminum surfaces found on the aircraft. Our technicians perform a three step-polishing program in order to bring the aircrafts brightwork to a mirror image.
Step one is a deep cleaning that removes oxidation, water spots, and other stains that accumulate on the polished surfaces. Step two is a machine polishing, which brings out the aluminum to a mirror image. The third and final step is a hand polishing procedure that removes any swirls and compound residue left behind by machine buffing the metal.
